Treating Mood Swings
Every
day we experience different moods, sometimes we feel great
and everything goes well, other days we can feel terrible,
angry, sad or just generally in bad form. The thing about
moods is that it affects our behaviour.
Staying
relaxed when there is mayhem around you, and being in a
useful frame of mind with kids etc means that we handle
issues more efficiently.
Anyone
that plays a sport knows how important it is to be in the
“Zone” to play well. Try hitting a good golf shot when you
are annoyed, it just does not happen. A public speaker knows
how important it is to be relaxed and in the right frame of
mind. It is so necessary to be relaxed when riding a horse
in a jumping competition.
We
teach our clients how to relax themselves and be more in
control over their moods. We show them how to create
feelings that lead to more useful behaviours that help them
enjoy the day.
